hello

i am trying to install a new user on our BB manager 4.1, but i fail all the time. i checked google and also search in here, but didnt find a solution to solve my problem.

first of all, i am not an admin or IT master, i am just a regular user with some computer knowledge and before we are going to pay 1000CHF to the IT company, i am trying my best to set up a new user into our BB manager 4.1 running under windows server 2003 with exchange 2007 on it.

when i start up BB manager 4.1, it says: Failed to open the default massage store using the Mapi profile "blackberry"..... but thats not the issue, since its working fine without that.

so my bro bought a new blackberry last week and i am trying hard to add it to our bb server without success and its driving my nuts.

i found some instructions online telling me i have to add user under server and then choose single user, select user, enter PIN and thats about it.

well i dont get to select single user and enter PIN. if i choose to add a new user, all i can do is select mailbox, choose user and the status says: initializing ..... for hours and hours and nothing happens. but i need to assign a device to that user with a PIN, but i dont see the option where i can select that. i hope someone can help me, i am even willing to sponsor you a beer or two by paypal.

If those articles don't get your device activated, pay your IT firm to do this for you.
This is not a task for an end user and you shouldn't be messing around with BES with your level of inexperience.
It's not hard to break BES if you don't know what you're doing.

well thanks for your aid, i dont mess around with it, because i know its easy to break a running system. but the IT company ever showed me how to do it, but that was a few years ago. shall try tomorrow and if it doesnt help. then i shall contact them, but it would be nice if i get to know how to activate a new phone, so i could fix this problem for other users in our company. so far i managed lots of little configurations on our servers, but i have no experience with BES.
