| Honest opinion: BlackBerry Please Login to Remove! Do you think RIM is behind in the smartphone market? Obviously their stocks are doing atrocious, but from a consumer standpoint are their products still desirable and are they competitive?
I use an iPhone 4 as it says on my profile, but I've always had an affinity for BlackBerry and have recently been debating on whether or not to actually use two phone; iPhone and BlackBerry, alternate at my discretion. I don't know why because the only BB I've had was only for four weeks and then I returned it(Torch)- I just have a weird 'thing' for BlackBerry. With that said, the iPhone 4 has about the same specs as the new Bold that doesn't even have a release date yet.
I'm well aware that what phone you use and prefer depends on your personal preference; I just want to know other peoples' opinions on BlackBerry phones. Try to come from an unbiased point-of-view as this is a BlackBerry forum. | | Offline

| Re: Honest opinion: BlackBerry Yes, it has been discussed. And every thread like this deteriorates very quickly.
Bottom line, if you want to run in the big herd that appears to be getting bigger, you'll be happy with an android device.
If you want to run with the other big herd, you'll probably be happy with an iphone.
If you want to make your own decisions and do what you think is best for you, you may be happy with BlackBerry, or android, or iOS, or even a windows mobile device. But only you can figure that out. Posted via BlackBerryForums.com Mobile | | Online

| Re: Honest opinion: BlackBerry Well those were boring responses, haha. Everyone knows it's a personal opinion as to which phone you use, I was merely asking for personal opinions on Blackberry's and for people to elaborate a little. Even if it has been discussed before why not give some interesting answers and allow for some new discussion on the topic instead of pointing out how it has been debated before.
I know I'll probably get the whole "well check the forum rules," and "it's been discussed so much it's like beating a dead horse," answers if anything but come on; the point of forums are to discuss related topics. | | Offline

| Re: Honest opinion: BlackBerry I left it kind of open-ended. Usually when a question is asked that's open-ended it can't really be boring because it can be answered however a potential responder would like to answer it. Unless of course the entire topic of smartphones is boring to you, in which case you wouldn't have even read my entire original post because my "boring" question was in the first line. | | Offline

Bye.

| Re: Honest opinion: BlackBerry Hi Daltongirl,
What Aiharkness means is that we already debated this about a hundred times and Im sure you will hardly get anyone to comment in the way you're expecting.
I would suggest you search through the forum for threads like yours as there are no need for double posts.
All I can say is that you have most of the answers yourself. Most users here are BB users so they will obviously say BB is better but as you stated before, the best one is the one that suits you better.
Sorry for not being more helpful but take some time to read around through the search and if you have any further doubts you can post back here or at the thread itself.
Edit: As you said you have had the torch which for me is one of the best BB on the market atm, that should have been a good experience. Overall, consider how it performed against the phone you have atm and think if it would suit you better or not.
Also consider that BB apps world has a much smaller amount of apps and isnt as fun as a IPhone.

The better question is, why are you trolling here?

| Re: Honest opinion: BlackBerry I'm not any sort of blogger. If I was, I wouldn't turn to a BlackBerry forum for my material; IF I did, the last thing I'd do is ask a question without being any sort of prominent member to this forums' community. I'm not the only member on here who doesn't use BlackBerry, so I'd appreciate it if you didn't use that and the fact that everyone thinks I'm a troll to try and pigeon-hole me.
It's not practical for me to have two phones unless I got one free; so I chose the iPhone, switched to BlackBerry(because my "affinity," for BlackBerry got the best of me) and then switched back to iPhone because the Torch was super buggy- the AT&T rep even apologized for having sold me "a bad one."

| Re: Honest opinion: BlackBerry I've had a "weird thing" for BlackBerry since 2005. I never felt the need to try a different phone, though.
If you like your iPhone, great. I just don't understand why registering on a BlackBerry forum to proclaim the downfall of RIM is worth your time.

It was on topic with what was being discussed in that particular thread, there's no foul in that at all. | | Offline
