Default Blackberry Internet Service Filters

I was wondering if anyone else is having an issue with the "Filtering" on their Blackberrys? I am on what I guess is a BIS service rather than what I believe is called a "BES"? And I have a couple personal email accounts setup up to go to my Blackberry. I never opened an email account with RIM because I already had enough to keep track of. But the problem seems to be that lately, even though I try and filter by name AND email address, the emails still come through to my Blackberry.

I want to receive my important emails and filter out all the personal stuff that I only want to show up on my home computer. And it seemed to work before. But for the past couple months now, it seems like I can't stop these emails. I set up the filter to look at the "From" field and copy/paste their name. Then, using a semicolon like the Blackberry instructions say, I copy/paste their email address, and still, their emails somehow make it past those filters and get to my Blackberrry.

Did I miss a change or something that I need to do different?

I tried making a single filter to catch multiple email address's using the semicolon as a delimiter, but never got it to work. So instead I created multiple filters. One for each email address. I was possibly doing something wrong and it's probably not the most efficient way but it accomplished my goal. But then again, it was only a small amount of filters.

I did exactly what you did. But I used the deliminator to separate the "name" and the "address", both copy/pasted from the "From" field.

Some junk mail sites seem to have some stubborn way of avoiding the filters. I have set up multiple separate filters for the same addresses now, one using the leading character in uppercase, another with all lower case, because I'm not sure if that matters. I think I remember something about coding in Unix where upper and lower case made a big difference.

I have also changed my filters to contain no semi-colons and use only a single word that is in the name of the "from" field. It is amazing how stubborn some of these things are though.
