I have a Curve I'm using that is damaged from a drop. I'm not ready to buy a new phone right now. I do have an older Pearl model.

Can I just remove the sim card and sd card from the Curve and put them in the Pearl and have it work, or would I need to go to a T-Mobile office and have them activate the Pearl model?

No need to go to your carrier to get them to do a device swap. To answer your question simply, yes you can just remove the sim from your curve and place it into your pearl and it will work. If you want to transfer your BBM contacts and address book to your pearl just back up your curve using the blackberry desktop manager and restore your data to the pearl.
