Default Deleting RMS database from the BB

Please Login to Remove!

What is the consequence of doing this. I understand that the RMS databases keep persistent data for 3rd party apps - like logins etc. I get an error when I do a backup that the desktop doesn't recognize two of my RMS databases. I have 9 on the HH and 7 on the desktop. You can see these using DM>Backup and Restore>Advanced.

I assume I would have to reenter my activation codes, but are there any other consequences. I am not worried about Cryptmagic.

I've been getting the same error since updating to 4.1. Thought it was just me.

I am getting the same error on my 8700. I accidentally deleted the RMS database thinking it was the Remote Mobile software. I'm not sure if it has affected anything

Is there anything I can do to determine if I have screwed something up?

Default Have you tried a 3rd party app that has data stored?

Did you delete it from the desktop or handheld and how did you delete it? If it was from the handheld certain 3rd party app data should be gone. For example, software unlock codes, and possibly application data. Look around for these things. Did you try to restore a backup?

I deleted it on the handheld. I played around with it for a little while and could not locate any problems. I then did an advanced backup/restore and restored only that file from the desktop to the handheld. It seemed to work fine but I do not see it listed again in applications. I am not getting the error any more either when I perform a backup.

Default Well you have done what I was afraid to do

Maybe that's how to get rid of the backup error.

Default Well I deleted the RMS database

Didn't fix the backup error. The two 3rd party programs that seemed to reset are Google Local and Free News. Opps IM+ also lost it's settings. The others kept all their settings.
