Default Entering PW wrong for the 10th time

I have 2 questions:
If you have setup a password on your handheld (7290) and if you keep entering the wrong password, I know that after the 10th time it will wipe your device.

~ If one of my users forgot his password, what is the best way of preventing him from entering the PW 10 times and wiping the BB. Can you send something from the BES to prevent this?

~ Also, one of my users did enter the PW 10 times and it wiped his BB. Well know when you turn it on there is a box on the screen that has a circle, square and triangle in it. The box is circled and there is a line through it and below it, it says 507. If I hook the cable up, the Desktop Manager doesn't start at all. I have taken out the battery, the SIM and still I guess this same 507 error.

There is the ability to change a user's password from the BES. I don't recall which screen, but it is there.

A 507 means (drum roll) - no operating system found.

Delete Vendor.XML; connect the BB. Start Desktop Manager. It should find the BB and then load the OS (assuming you have the handheld OS loaded within Desktop Manager on the PC).
