I have a BB 8520 Gemini.
I've set up a group "GROUP 1" and added many of my existing contacts to it.
The problem that I have is every time i add A NEW CONTACT I seem to first add it, then open my group, click "edit group" then click "add new contact" and then search and locate that new contact...

Is there a way of simply adding a TICK-BOX field called "group 1" to the standard contacts form? There are so many fields there already, I am hoping that I might be able to utilize one of them to simply tick and directly add a contact to a group as well.

BlackBerry smartphone users can create groups that function the same as distribution lists. To create a group on a BlackBerry smartphone, complete the following steps:

1.Click Address Book.
2.From the Address Book menu, click New Group.
3.Type a name for the group in the New Group field.
4.From the New Group menu, click Add Member
5.Select a member from the Address Book.
6.Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each member.
7.From the New Group menu, click Save Group to create a group.

As for adding a contact field for groups (like they have for categories), no. You cannot create that field. Maybe in the future though.
