Why do you want to? They serve two different purposes.

Just hide one of the browser icons on their home screen.

Search the forums for Hide Application.
The search function is on the menu at the top of each webpage.

You should hide the Blackberry Browser, not the Internet Browser. The Blackberry Browser requires a BES.

Hold the alt key while pressing the scroll wheel and the drop down menu should allow you to move or hide the icon.

If you have a BES and don't want your users to use the INternet Browser and want all data routed through the BES, you can disable it through the IT policy. Set the "Allow other Browser services" and if available, "Allow IBS Browser" to False and the user will only see the MDS browser on their handheld.

Aha!

Now I know why there are two "identical" non-wap browsers!

Yes...the MDS Browser routs all traffic through the BES server (if available) and the other browser goes straight to the service provider (Cingular, Verizon, Sprint/Nextel, etc.).
