Question Is anyone else having trouble logging into Yahoo from their BlackBerry right now?

Please Login to Remove!

Simple question, really: Is anyone (besides me) having trouble logging into their Yahoo account(s) from their BlackBerry this week? ?:-/

I want to post on my Yahoo 360 blog, but I've been trying for 2 days to log into Yahoo and it keeps giving me an annoyingly vague "server error" message! }=(

I'm using my Nextel BlackBerry 7520 w/ OS version 4.0.0.249. I've never before had a problem using Yahoo from the palm of my hand... At least not until yesterday. On the official BB HTML web browser, I get these vague "server error" messages, such as this one:
Quote:
The selected server returned an error when attempting to fulfill your request.
I'm sorry, guys, could you vague that up for me? *rolls eyes sarcastically*

On REQWireless WebViewer, it's clearly getting the same error, but I never get an error message. WebViewer just gets "stuck" trying to load the page after the Sign In screen. :-/

So, is anyone else finding it difficult or impossible to log into Yahoo from their BB right now?!? ?:-/

Okay, I've figured out what to do. Yahoo just made some changes that have affected the site's compatibility with BlackBerries and other PDA phones.

First off, bookmark any pages you use on the HTML version of the site (for me, that would be Yahoo 360). Next, from the menu of the BB HTML browser, choose "Go To" and enter www.yahoo.com as the url. When Yahoo's homepage loads, it now comes up as the WAP version, because it now autodetects that you're on a BlackBerry and loads the WAP site.

From the WAP-formatted site, log-in, making SURE to check off "Remember my ID and password". Then, go into your bookmarks and use the bookmarks you made to get back to the HTML versions of the pages you need.

If you haven't bookmarked the pages you need, from the WAP version of Yahoo, BEFORE logging in, click the link for "More Services". That link takes you to the full HTML site. You won't be able to log-in from the HTML version, but you can bookmark useful pages, then follow the rest of the steps above from there.
