Hi all, I am newbie to BB, before bold 9900 I had used Nokia E71. I have some specific events in my calendar and I don't know how to save them on BB, they are:

1. Events like "Mother's day", "Independence day" etc
2. Some birthdays that are not in my contact list, f.e. my best friend's daughter's birthday
3. Some other anniversaries

Is it also possible to show them on the homescreen, so that I get ready for them beforehand.

You can hit the top notification bar(next to the sound option on the homescreen) and that will bring up your closest events.
