Default Ring volumn

Please Login to Remove!

I just switched to a 7290, and have a problem. I have a high frequency hearing loss from hearing too many loud noises in my mis-spent younger years. I have a lot of trouble hearing the ring. I have the volumn set a 3 and using ring 5 which seems to be the loudest. If it is in the holster I can feel it vibrate, or hear it when I am wearing my hearing aids.

The big problem is at night, I leave it on the nightstand, and if it rings I can't hear it. Call forwarding to the house phone isn't a complete solution for e-mail etc.

Any helpful suggestions.

I'd look into another ringtone, or turn it on vibrate and put it under your pillow.

Try getting an empty cigar box to set your BB on and set it to vibrate. This should amplfy the lower vibration frequency.

Hope this helps.

Here are some louder ringtones you can try on your 7290. Visit http://tones.jimvaughan.com with your BlackBerry. Alternatively, you could visit http://davidenglish.com/wml/index.wml with your BlackBerry and choose "Non-Musical MIDI Ringtones."

Hey thanks for all the suggestions.

Leave it to a cowboy from Texas to come up with a practical physical solution. I don't have a cigar box but I do have a big tin can. And I just tested it out. It will wake the dead!

Glaed to have helped. I thought about a tin can also but figured the sound frew from a cigar box might be lower and more noticable to you. If the tin can works, then great.
