Righto, I was recently working on a project at work which involved extracting thumbmail images from .dat files stored on blackberries. Rather than let the hours I spent trying to understand the format of the .dat files go to waste, I decided to write a three and a half page guide to the thumbnail file format used on blackberries and how to convert it into images. I figured that here would be as good a place as any to stick it and I hope that's okay with the mods.
