Question Blackberry 9780 Battery Drain

Please Login to Remove!

I upgraded my BB to a 9780 six weeks ago. Since then the time between charges has reduced from more than a day to 10 hours, and the 'wait' icon (stopwatch face) is often running. Returned it to the service provider (Telstra) local outlet but they found no unnecessary applications running (Wireless, Bluetooth and GPS, ect) are all off.
Running OS 6, bundle 2342. Telstra says it needs to go their service dept but will take 2 weeks. Any advice on how to overcome the battery drain before I lose it for two weeks?

Thanks for yr reply Dubdub but have looked at that (and followed recommendations) prior to posting this thread. EVERYTHING that is not necessary to the operation of the phone and email has been turned off.

What did you do to the device just before this happened? OS update? Installed apps? Installed new themes?
