Default BIS Email Setup :?

I have never seen this before, but when I attempt to set up BIS email accounts on my wife's new BlackBerry, it will not verify any of the accounts, even though I know the passwords are correct. The error I get is "Sorry, unable to continue your session. Please log in again."

I have done a hard reset, and I have resent the service books. I also attempted to log in to the VZW BIS [https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=vzw] to no avail. It tells me to go back to the device and set up the email addresses.

Is there any way for me to resolve this? I would rather not take it to VZW, but I will if I have to. Thanks.

You have to call Verizon and ask to be bumped to RIM level support.

Ask em to push you the Mail client link. It should look like http://<brand/carrier>.blackberrry.com/rest/EmailClient

I was told by a tech that for some reason a few OS 7 devices were not able to setup their e-mail accounts with their devices. I had the same problem when I first set up. All I could do was validate and it was not working even though I was using the right passwords. They will either send you the fix or manually add the e-mail accounts that she needs.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Is that true for OS6 devices, too? When I put in her email account password and hit Validate, I get the error. I can't even get it to validate, much less activate.

Yeah, a coworker was sent a patch fix for her BIS mail setup by Bell earlier today.
