Hello, I purchased a blackberry curve 8530 from walmart recently. Today I activated it, and there is some strange discrepancy where the website says it is activated but the phone says 'requires activation'.

Basically, the way i activated it was by entering the MEID number on virgin mobiles website.

I took the phone to walmart and had one of the phone specialists talk to a virgin mobile agent. They said I should receive a text message within the hour telling me my phone is now active and my service has begun. They apparently had to start it over at that moment.

That was about 2 hours ago. I really need my phone on. I need it for important college related things.

Is there something I have to do with the phone itself that I have overlooked?

Any information will be much appreciated. I really want this phone on to where I can use it. Thank you.

Does Virgin provide BB support and have the Blackberry dataplan? You probably need to call Virgin as opposed to got to Wal-Mart, since Virgin supplies the service.

I am not sure I would be here with this question if they didn't.

By the way, if you're referring to the dataplan they use to charge 10$ for, which is blackberries plan, they made it free a couple of months ago.
