Smile Desktop Redirection

Please Login to Remove!

Hello -

This is my first post...wonderful discussion forum....amazing information. I have searched for this information here but have not found exactly what I was looking for.

I am considering purchasing a BB and have a need to redirect e-mail from two different desktops to the one BB. The desktops are in two different locations and have access two different "secured" e-mail accounts that will not allow POP access.

Does anyone know if this is possible to accomplish with the software that is included or any other creative ideas to solve this issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You!

If your a POP3 user you'll need to poll the accounts via the BIS client or forward to your BIS address (you@carrier.blackberry.net) using something like GMail. The desktop re-director requires connection to an Exchange/Notes/GroupWise server.

Thank you for your quick reply.

One account is Exchange the other is Notes.

No, unfortunately forwarding is not an option. I am able accomplish this today by using a pocket pc device with sprint business connection software ($15 per month per device) installed on both desktops. I am looking to switch to Cingular and purchasse a BB device so the e-mail is sync'd real time.

I had a similar problem. If you are using Outlook as your email client for these email addresses, take a look at my resolution:

Receiving Email On BlackBerry (Without Exchange, BES or other servers)

Thanks for the information. That is a very interesting approach that would probably work if both e-mail accounts were on Outlook. Unfortunately I have one account on Exchange and one on Notes.
