Default 7210 Problems

Please Login to Remove!

Aloha,

I am new to these forums, so If I make a mistake please excuse me. I have a 7210 and cannot get it unlocked. The unit is from AT&T, and I am on Cingular. They will not unlock because it is not a Cingular unit. I am also getting a error code when I do intellisync, stating no default SUN JRE found (?) someone please help?!

1. Try posting in the correct forum...
2. Search "unlock" there are hundred of threads, literally hundreds discussing the topics.
3. You might want to download the Javaloader.exe or JL_Comdr again search it they've been posted on the forums multiple times either will allow you to wipe you device and restall the OS.

Searched (ahem) and found this. CAVEAT - if you screw up entering the code you will lock the BB forever... Proceed at your own risk:

If you receive an error message while performing the instructions below, stop. Please be aware that if an excessive amount of incorrect attempts are made, the phone will be permanently locked. Verify the IMEI by pressing *#06#.

Warning! The Wireless Mode MUST BE OFF before performing the given SIM Unlock instructions in order to avoid causing the device from becoming defective.

How to turn Wireless Mode Off:
1. Scroll to the Airplane Icon (Turn Wireless Off.)
2. Press Select.
3. Wireless Mode will turn off.

How to SIM Unlock the device:
1. Go to the "Options" screen
2. Select the "SIM Card" option
3. Type ALT-MEPD (hold ALT key while typing the 4 letters, M-E-P-D)
4. Release the ALT key, it should then display a list "SIM, Network, Network Subset, etc..."
5. To select "Network" type ALT-MEPE (since E is the key that gives 2 when shifted)
6. Release the ALT key, it should then ask for the code
7. Enter the unlock code

Good luck.
