Default 8700 on other services

It seems that the FCC has yet to approve the 8700 on any other systems other than Cingular. FCC approval takes place most often 1/2 monts prior to the phones availabilty on it's respective carrier. the 8700c was approved on November 2nd, 2005. We know of plans to bring the 8700 to tmobile, does anyone know of the plans to bring the 8700 to verizon?

Nothing is public yet. The info I've read indicates Q3.

It's not really 1-2 months for the phone to become available.. the FCC is much like the FDA or other body of approvers... the phone is prepared and ready for the date and then once approved the media blitz starts. The Cigular 8700 was available (albiet difficult) around Thanksgiving week.
