Default Blackberry and Tsunami Panic

Please Login to Remove!

The recent Earth quakes has prompted several Tsunami warnings the past month in South East Asia. The lack of more information from these warnings has prompted several large scale panic.

My city was no exception half of the population was in panic, hundreds were running in front of my factory leaving their belongings in the streets running to the mountains.

In these situations Networks become congested preventing you from making calls or send out any text messages. My Iphone 4 became a useless brick unable to send out any sms or calls. Even logging into Skype became impossible.

The only phone that actually work was my Blackberry stuck in traffic it allowed me to send a message via BBM to my factory and convince them to stay and secure the building from looters.

The large scale panic lasted for a few minutes but enough for people to loose their belongings.

After this event I'm going back to my Blackberry , I really never gave it up but I'm never going to bother brining a backup unless its another Blackberry.

Fantastic, but this should probably be in Rants and Raves. Also, were your iPhone and BlackBerry on different carriers?
