PIN to PIN is a proprietary BlackBerry message format. It is used exclusively for sending messages to people.

You can also send email or send SMS messages through email-to-SMS gateways (like teleflip.com) ... the BlackBerry is a messaging tool first and formost.

I think you mean email-to-SMS gateway without phone service it has to be sent as email. I think that was what you're trying to say, but just wanted to make it clearer.

Hope this helps.

Yes, Rcbjr ... Thanks for catching that. Email-to-SMS gateway.

Thanks,

Wait..still confused :D

So does this mean that if I got someones BB pin number, I could send them a message (like a text or email message) via that, and them get it?

Because I myself am only getting a data plan. So I honestly didn't know how the PIN thing worked.

Pin to Pin messages are like SMS but they are transmitted over the BB data network, not the Cellular providers Phone network as SMS messages do. They use Data rather than SMS messages.

Hope this helps.

PIN to PIN works between two BB's as long as they have data plan. Worldwide.

Hello everyone, I'm just getting started with the 7100i how do you browse websites?
I have not been told how to access html sites or if there are only a few available.
If I would have known this and noone in Las Vegas seems to know I would have gone
with a sidekick! Have you gone to full page websites?

How do you browse using your PC? On a BB its very similar. Open the Internet Browser and ckick the track wheel to cet the menu, from there you can select "go to" to type a URL or "Bookmarks" to surf using bookmarks.
You do have a BB data plan, don't you?

Remember, Search is Your Friend!
Hope this helps.
