after reading all this 4.1 upgrade talk for 7250s, if i were to do this would i just need to download it to the device and be good to go? i mean would it just simply take the OS i have now and replace it or would i have to delete my old OS first then download the new one? i'm not very technically inclined so you should expect a lot of this type of question.

There is a pretty decent breakdown of the steps involved here:

Hong Kong CSL 4.1

These instructions reference a particular OS and hardware model but can be generalized for any OS/Hardware setup.

You could be waiting for a REALLY LONG TIME since there aren't even any rumors about a CDMA based BlackBerry.

I installed 4.1 on my Telus Mobility 7250 and have had only one problem with bbToday (the free one). It locks up if I have this installed otherwise I have noticed a dramatic speed increase overall.

Now I'm just trying to get google talk to work on the darn thing, then I'll be a happy camper.

I hate Telus sometimes.

the telus people seem to think they'll be getting it. i'm not getting my hopes up or anything or hanging on what they say though. if i had step by step instructions on how to install 4.1 i would but i don't want to screw up my blackberry and have to go out and get a new one.

According to my Verizon rep, this summer.. no rumor, he says this summer..
I doubt that I will upgrade though as I am quite happy with the 7250 (especially now that I have 4.1)
