Will the firmware be the same as the 9900? Anybody know about battery life? I guess it will also be the same as the 9900

There is limited information because there are not a lot of these devices for sale. The best thing I can suggest is to visit Harrod's and see for yourself.

It's a 9900 with a different casing and keypad. The internals are identical to those of the 9900.

With a few exceptions. Most notably, it changes the orientation of the MicroSD card so that it enters from the top of the device, and is spring activated.

I wonder why anyone would want to buy it? I saw it in Dubai this time around and it was positively the ugliest gadget I have seen in my life.

Agreed... I honestly don't much like anything Porsche Design makes.
