Default loose trackwheel

Please Login to Remove!

So I have a Blackberry 7230 that I bought from T-Mobile, and after about a year and a quarter of faithful service, it looks like the trackwheel is starting to get a little bit loose. Meaning, it doesn't rigidly click from one position to another, but rather kind of "slurs" in between positions, and I can wobble it back and forth a bit without it actually clicking. It still clicks, but the resistance definitely seems to be fading and at this rate I think it will not be usable in a month or two.

Is there any way to fix this short of sending it in for service or turning it in under my warranty? Like, can I do it myself, or would somebody at a T-Mobile store be able to do it for me?

If anybody knows about this I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

S

Try this company:
http://www.promobility.net/html/blackberryparts.shtml

They offer parts.
That said, if the wheel still turns and clicks, I wouldnt mess with it..

The wheel actually pushes down on a copper plate which after time just stops pushing back. it is not something that you can replace. you will have to send it in or upgrade

Right, but here isn't not an issue of pushing down, but rather of turning around.
