I am planning to get a new BB 9900. I am completely new to BB and I was an iPhone and Android user. I would like to know more details and hope someone could help me out with this...

1. Does BB 9900 support MS Exchange Server 2003 to configure my work email?
2. Can I send messages to my overseas friends with their BB PIN? Is it gonna be charged?

1. No. You need a BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
2. Yes, you can send, no it won't be charged.

Often MS Exchange servers have OWA enabled (Outlook Web Access). I'm pulling my mail from our Exchange 2003 by means of OWA (it's not the same as having BES, but works).
