Don;t shoot me down but I could not find this in the search... I will cotinue to try the search but in the meantime can someone answer my question..... I have the blackberry and only have the data plan, and was wondering could I send someone a text or a message some other way that they get it as a text to there phone? And can they reply from a phone with a text that I will get on my blacbkerry with only the data package?

I'll continue searching the forums but hopefully someone could explain if this is possible.

Yes, but not with PIN.

Send an e-mail to theirnumber@teleflip.com, and they should be able to reply. It will only use your e-mail.

If they wanted to send me a text first coudl they even if I only have the data package? What I mean is if I don't send one first the way you said through can they send me a text someway??

You can SMS (unless you're on Nextel, IIRC. Whether or not it costs you extra depends on your plan. Depending on your plan, you could SMS without a data package.

Yes. They can send SMS to your BlackBerry e-mail.

can can compose an sms and type mypin and your pin will appear, but they will not be able to send you a pin message, but they will know your pin. not sure what good it does but u can send them your pin info
