Default New Phone

Hi, I'm looking at buying a used Curve 9300 off a friend of a friend, and was wondering if the phone was wiped beforehand (hoping it will be) would the old BB pin still be retained? Not too familiar with buying used phones off people, so is there anything else I should look out for or any advice for buying them? Might sound a ridiculous question but don't want to end up looking like a mug

Yes, the PIN will be the same. Take a look at the FAQ about buying a phone off of eBay. The same principles work.

Thanks - where can I find that? Also, how would I restore files to my phone from Blackberry Desktop Software when backed up?

Thanks

Tips for buying or selling a used BlackBerry

If you backed up an old BB using Desktop Manager's backup program, you can restore it to the new BB backup/restore program in DM.
