Default 100mb data

Please Login to Remove!

I've recently signed up to a Blackberry contract with Orange which includes 100mb of data a month. I called up Orange to ask how I might check my remaining data, as this doesn't show up when I check my other usage such as minutes. I spoke to a guy (who has the same plan himself) and was told that Blackberry data is "basically unlimited" which is why I can't check how much I have left, and was assured that it would be very hard for me to get charged extra for using it, so I shouldn't worry about what I use. He was so confident about this he even gave me his name and extension number should an issue ever arise. However, even though I can't just check how much I data have left, after a while I can see what I've used - it seems that in 2 days I've already used over 40mb (is that normal or excessive?). Surely if I carry on using it as I am (which is for email, facebook, free app downloading and BBM - no video streaming or other downloading) it will easily go over my limit and I will have to pay more? What he has told me has left me rather confused.

Maybe call someone else at your carrier and see what they say.

In my experience, 100mb is hardly enough for what you are doing, as Facebook takes a lot of data, as does app downloading. Email and BBM depends on usage, not much per individual email (unless there is an attachment) or per BBM message, but they do add up over time.

I agree with Dubdub. Check with your carrier. As far as I am aware, 100mb limit means 100mb regardless of the phone.
