Default 8gb memory card ERROR

Please Login to Remove!

Hi There,

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.
I have a Blackberry bold 9870 with an 8gb SD memeory card inserted.

My phone is now saying
"A memory card has been inserted that contains errors. Do you wish to repair the media card now?"

When i click "yes" i get another message saying
"If lost clusters are found during the repair, do you want to save them?"

I have clicked "yes" and "no" and then after this its tells me its repairing but then shortly after i get a message sayin "Media card repair failed"?

Through this i have lost all my memory e.g. music, pictures, videos etc. It was working fine up until last night.

What shall I do?

Thanks.

Media cards go bad. It happens. Go buy a new card. Preferably a reputable source. Not some cheap ebay brand. Start doing regular backups of all your media to your computer.

If nothing important is on the card try a format.

There are plenty of recovery software on the web that might be able to get some data off the card. After that you can try to format in a PC and then again in your BB and it might work after. I have done this on my 32 gig 3 times. Some times a file system gets corrupt. A good backup plan is a smart thing too.

Also the use of dropbox or similar service can be helpful, I use i as an auto backup for my device.

In This situation the only option you had left with is first format your memory card and use any reliable recovery software. you can find them on internet just serach for photo recovery software. May be you"ll get you data back with you.
