| Re: Themes Security Question ***UPDATE***: Sharing My Findings
Looking closely, here's what I found. (I'm using a third-party theme obtained from AppWorld.)
I allow calls when my phone is locked. The first pic is of the screen you see when you go to place a call when the phone is locked. Circled in red is the small padlock icon indicating that the encryption key has been erased. The red circle on the second pic shows where the padlock icon normally appears on the locked home screen of any stock theme I've ever used. So, because the padlock icon still appears somewhere, I think it's safe to conclude that the encryption key is still properly erased, and encryption is in full force, even when this third-party theme is in use. The icon is simply not displayed on the lock screen of any third-party theme (that I've ever used). |
