Just got a new Torch 9810 and loving it, but I'm finding the battery life is horrible -- on a full charge it doesn't even last me 24 hours, and that's without any calls.

Does the new Torch just consume that much more battery power?

I do have WiFi on, but I remember on my previous 9780 I'd leave WiFi on and it would still be going for almost 2 days.

The 9810 has a faster CPU, more memory, a larger screen and HSPA, all of which will consume more power than the 97xx. I generally charge mine over night in the docking pod, and again when I get home from work. During heavy use days I occasionally need to top it up sometime during the day, in the car or office. I usually don't let the battery drop below 70% if I can help it since Li Ion batteries don't like to be repeatedly discharged anyway.
