Default EDGE does not appear in capital letters!!! (edge)

Hello, I bought a Blackberry Bold 9650, and when I activate the BIS in my phone, EDGE is not appearing in capitals so it means my BBM and all the other stuff that works with the internet system doesn't work. I've tried everything, battery pulling, resetting the phone and more but I can't find a solution. When I put the SIM card in another Blackberry, the BIS works perfectly but in the 9650 Bold I bought it simply doesn't works. I've spent a lot of money trying to fix this but anyone can help me, I hope you guys have a solution. Thanks a lot!

Call your carrier and make the account set up properly for this device, not another BB. And have them resend the service books once that is completed.

Also, you are using a CDMA device on a GSM network. Movistar may not have the service books for the 9650.

So does that means that I will never be able to use the 9650 on movistar as this device is a CDMA device? Thanks a lot for the help
