Default BlackBerry Software

Hey Everyone,

I was looking around the internet for software available for my new 8700 and found that there wasn't a wide selection available. I was wondering about what everyone would like to see made that would be useful to get on a blackberry, software wise, that isn't avaialble thus far. Any and all suggestions are welcome! I have some time on my hands and enjoy programming and i was wondering if there was a big application that everyone would like to see made that I could possibly program.

Thanks in advance for the comments!!

There are a couple of threads on this forum and I believe on the Aftermarket S/W forum where participants have posted their desires. A search might find these.

And thaanks for your interest, it will be a welcome addition, whatever you develop.

Hope this helps.

Are you looking to write business stuff or fun stuff?

Personally, I think we actually need more fun stuff, since more consumers are starting to use BlackBerry. Various fun stuff include a MPEG video player or MP3 player for the model 8700. (The API's and the CPU speed should now make this possible), as well as games, emulators, etc. There is already a Nintendo emulator that already "sort of works" but needs refinement to be ported to the 8700, for example.

I was thinking a bit more on the business side since the main use of the BlackBerry is for business purposes but ecards and games are also a very neat and useful idea. I'll do a bit more researching and any more comments are welcome!
