Default Using BIS plan when use blackberry as modem

Please Login to Remove!

Hi guys,

I'm in Mozambique, I have my blackberry connected in a normal BIS plan as anywhere in the world but without any download limits.

In the other hand here internet is very expensive, I'm paying around 15 dollars for each 3GB that I use on my laptop. What I need it's to use my blackberry as modem but using the BIS plan. I already connected to the internet using the blackberry as modem but the usage was charged from my credit so fast that you couldn't believe it.

So I'm thinking in a blackberry modem emulator, or maybe the blackberry configuration that makes the carrier distinguish the phone from the laptop.

Anyone can help me with this? (My carrier is Vodacom, Mozambique)

All the best

Pedro

This is carrier dependent. The only thing you can do is try it for a few minutes and see if you are charged extra.
