at any rate, this is an example of the posting habits that are muddying this board and providing too many uneccesary search results (if a search is even attempted!).

Let the sponsor post...

In defense of posting in two locations.... It's not something I would do normally but it seems that accessory discussions are not limited to the accessories section. This could have been a simple "hey look here" flag but you (penk) took the time to comment so now it's a full blown thread. If anyone is "boosting post counts" it might be you.

Penk, Once you have spent some time here in this forum you may come to understand that this is a community. In this community we support ideas, questions and sponsors that help keep this place running.

LMAO a member with 90 post questioning a sponsor RCG you post when ever you like my friend and I will always support you...

if you are referring to this thread, then you have me confused with someone else.

i am all about MFTP. i am all about legitimate posting, and if my 90 posts stand for anything it is self-moderation.

i understand rcg is a sponsor. to me, that should include even more responsibility with regard to forum "etiquette" and keeping posts where they belong, including threaded conversations that could be held in PM. there are at least 3 other commericial or sponsor-dedicated locations the above post could have been placed.

when a user clicks "New Posts" and sees a dozen new threads with like or even identical titles, you expect them all to be from the newer, less-refined forum members - not "tenured, veteran leaders". that's not the best example to set, and with so many users here pleading for relief from useless threads, we need everyone working on this together.

I stand corrected; penk, you were in the thread about rudeness, but you didn;t call me out.

In any event, I have no issue at all with RCG posting this.

And so it does not get out of hand, I am closing it too.

Penk you are a new member and I actually appreciate your zeal to keep the forum on point. Perhaps if you have an issue like this you should PM the offender (ME) or ask the mods about what they feel is appropriate before you post your comments? As time goes on I'm certain you will get the "lay of land" here and come to know that the people involved are here because the love the community.

again with this "new member" crap. your profile shows a join date merely four months prior to mine. i may have only a 10th of your total posts, but i don't subscribe to pointless prattle that is perfectly suited to PM (of which you claim to support). this is not to say that so many of your posts are useless (they are not); i am merely stating that your argument regarding post counts is absurd.

as for learning "the lay of the land", if i see something that "blights the landscape" as a member of this community i will call it out. if i choose to do so within the thread itself, it is in an effort to prompt open discussion to garner a consenus. that consensus may not support my ideas or perceptions, but that possibility doesn't deter me. neither does cronyism.
