| 7100 keyboard opinion from a new user Short Short Version:
Treo thumboard keys are too small, blackberry QWERTY board keys are also a bit too small. 7100t is nice - keys are pretty big, and I can make good time on a WPM scale.
A Little More Info:
I can type fast on the 7100, but having the split keys means autotext types "see" instead of "are" (for example). This can be alleviated by learning which common phrases will have alternate words and side scrolling to another autotext selection, but even that is rather cumbersome.
However, I would say 70% of the time, this is not a problem and having bigger keys with two letters isn't all that difficult since they are in a QWERTY layout. If they could improve autotext by, say, knowing there are two legit words in a series of keystrokes. Underline them until you send so when you proofread it, you could select the underlined word like a hyperlink and BB would give you a scrollable list of logical text options given the input keys.
I do like my 7100, I just feel the autotext could be improved. 7100 is also way prettier, like it or not the others look like calculators to me. :P |
