this may seem like a stupid question but im new the blackberry's and need help.
i could not find the answer.
i am using a blackberry for work.
i get calls from a automated system that asks me to enter my password when it calls to verify me. i would like to be able to make a speed dial button that i can push that will put my password in for me.
i tried using the speed dial option but it seems to only work if the call isnt already active.
does anyone know a way to do that will the call is live?

Default Re: question

First, I think it is a bad idea. It may even be a security violation. But here is some info that may help.

Speed dial is what it is. What you should look at is word substitution. However, word substitution is disabled in password fields, for obvious reasons.

EDIT: It just occurred to me that you indicated you must key the password into the phone. Word substitution won't work. I don't think you can do what you want.
