9800 Gets Hot, Battery only 24 Hours

The phone gets hot when I am on a call or browsing. It is not the battery that heats up. The battery lasts about one day.

I bought a new battery because I thought the old one was causing the problem but realized the heat was not the battery but the was eminating from the bottom of the device.

Has anyone else had this issue?

24 hours of battery life is not so bad these days on BlackBerrys, especially browsing. Your 9800 has a larger screen than most models so browsing will eat the battery faster than a 2.4" or 2.6" screen device.

The BlackBerrys with the legendary battery life were the older, simpler grayscale screen models.

Certain OS versions have caused heat issues in the past. Make sure yours is current.
