Default memopad

can someone not using the bb data plan, use the memopad? just purchased a new (well, used) bb for a family friend to be used only as a phone, but she is telling me that the memopad doesn't seem to be saving messages.

is this right?

if not, what's the proper set-up to make sure that memos - aftering being keyed in on the 7280 device - are saved when prompted to do so by pushing the trackwheel?

thanks.

Default

the memo pad, when not used with a data plan, is just a memo pad on the phone. It should be saving the messages.

I dont have an answer for the second part
