Default Battery Issue:

My BB7250, Sprint, is 7 months old. Yesterday I noticed that my battery drained a lot faster than usual. I thought maybe it was imagination but let me do a test. I FULLY charged it before bed, unplugged it @ 12:00 AM, by 9AM, I was on Red w/ a Low battery warning, yes it was in the original holster.

How do I figure out what is wrong?
How do I fix it?
Any idea on my warranty being that I am w/in the year?
Should I call RIM if I get nowhere w/ Sprint?
etc,. etc.,

Sounds like a premature battery bailure to me. I don't know if yoiur provider warrants the battery. I don't think RIM does. I suggest buying a replacement battery and seeing if that corrects the problem. Keep all the paperwork and the packaging so that if it doesn't correct the problem you can return the new battery for a refund and turn in the phone for exchance under the warranty.

Hope this helps.

I had same issue with my blackberry few months ago, on the weekend it drained battery rapidly.
Ready to panic, I looked at family member's cell phone which was on the same wireless provider as my blackberry, and realized its battery drains fast, too.

It must be something happening with the wireless provider network, I told myself.

After Monday, that never happened again with my blackberry. It runs for days without recharging.

Recommendation: wait few days. It may not be your battery. If same problem persists few days later, perhaps it is.
