I appreciate your position. I tried OS 6 and went back to 5 when I was using the 9700. I don't remember what version desktop software I was using, but it probably wasn't 5 anymore by then.
I don't really have a solution for you. I don't remember the desktop software repeatedly prompting me to upgrade to handset OS 6. If you've done a clean uninstall and then reinstalled again, then responded negative to the upgrade prompt, then I don't know what else you can do. However, I would upgrade to desktop manager.
As far as deleting the vendor.xml file (xml, not exe), that has noting to do with your issue. Posted via BlackBerryForums.com Mobile |
