Default GPRS vs. GSM

Please Login to Remove!

i had my 7105 activated with blackberry unlimited. it would operate on the GPRS band or not at all. where i live it would get about 1-2 bars of GPRS service and still get calls and email. i canceled the blackberry unlimited via the Tmo website 2 weeks ago and just the other day my phone switched from GPRS to the GSM band. even with 3-4 bars of service everywhere in the house i cant send SMS or make calls. is it typical of GSM to say you have service even though it is unable to connect for calls and SMS??

If you show GSM on the BB and can not make phone calls & SMS, you should call T-Mobile Customer Care. Sounds to me like they may have removed the voice plan also.

What NJB says is true but first try to delete all your service books, do a remove the abttery reboot and reregister via the host routing table. You can do this while you are on hold waiting for the rep to pick up then you can say you did the first steps of the troubleshooting they will ask you to do.

Doesn't it usually say "gprs" and "data connection refused" if you don't have a data plan? It shouldn't have gone to GSM and then have no phone coverage either.
