Default Gmail problems!

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys,

I very recently (3 days ago) bought a wonderful 7290 with T-Mobile. I set up Gmail to POP, did everything that I was supposed to, and I am not happy. Keep in mind that I am trying to have the new mail "pushed" to my Blackberry, and am not particularly keen on using the browser to read Gmail. I also have Outlook 2002 on my PC.

Having said all of this... Why aren't Gmail's e-mails coming to the Blackberry??? What am I doing wrong, if anything? The folks at T-Mobile were as confused as I was, and I started searching on google to see if people had my problem. There's been a couple of similar issues, and one person said that it had to do with the quantity of mail in the inbox. Is this it?

Any ideas?

Thanks friends,

Roberto

Im not sure how exactly T-Mobile's service is, I have a 7290 threw Cingular and use there blackberry email service.. [email address] ect.. and It alows you to add email accounts to it like [email address] ,hotmail, yahoo configure outlook, domino ect.... and when you get a message in that account it shows up on the BB and you can reply just like normal and what not..

and from what I understand and have read you can create an account if you already havent on T-Mobiles site ( https://my.t-mobile.com/Login/ ) and create a BB email account there and add up to 10 email addys. or as they put it "All you need is the e-mail address, username, and password for each of your existing e-mail accounts. Once you log in to My T-Mobile, you can set up BlackBerry Internet E-mail, add or delete e-mail accounts, configure your settings, add filters ect" ..

not sure if that will help or not, im sure some of the BB Geniuses on here can come up with other very good solution aswell.

It's much easier to forward Gmail to your bb instead of using POP. I used POP for Gmail in my 7100t a while ago and it took a while for emails to come through, it's much easier now that it's forwarded.

Okay but then if I write an e-mail from my Blackberry, it'll send it with my Blackberry address. Same thing if I reply to an e-mail sent to my Gmail.

Right?

Right?

As xyrcncp suggested, it's best to forward mail to your *tmo.blackberry.net account instead of integrating gmail on the T-Mobile BlackBerry Internet E-mail (BIE) interface. If you want your "SENT FROM" address to be your gmail address instead of the BB address, all you need to do is to logon to MyTmobile and spoof the address. i.e: Edit the *bb.net account once you've logged in to T-Mobile.com and simply replace the *tmo.blackberry.net email add with your gmail add.

Enjoy!

Additionally to that.

In your webclient you should have an option to send a copy of any emails you send to another account. (ie, your gmail account)

That way you have copies in gmail of anything you send or receive.

Cheers!

I am sorry but I just can't figure this out. Is there any way you can guide me through it step by step?

:(
