Alarm works some days but not others

Is there some kind of setting that would cause my alarm to work on some days but not on others? Or is it that my Blackberry 8310 Curve, which I have had for about four years, is too old and growing defective?

Are you using built in alarm or app? Very weird for it to be sporadic like that.
