Default Question for those Blackberry savvy...

Please Login to Remove!

Here's the story:
I had ordered a 7100i from Sprint a while ago, and ended up returning it the same day because I really didn't like the functionality and I got a i870 instead.
Well now I think I am interested in a BlackBerry again but I am thinking about going with a 7520 from Sprint.

Here is my question, I don't use a blackberry for business, it would only be e-mail and organization. What would you all suggest I get or should I look at another platform like a Treo.

Stay away from treo, unless you like buggy software.

the 7520 is from nextel.

What didnt you like about the 7100?

Yeah I knew the 7520 and 7100i were from Nextel (wrote Sprint)
Anyway, the 7100's screen seemed small and I didn't like how long it was (length).

The screen resolution is 100 times better on the 7100i then the 7520. Plus it's more phone-like then the 7520. AND the light comes on when you scroll the wheel - no need for BBLight app. I've been using the 7100i since they came out last November (had a 7520 for about a year before that) and would not consider going back.

If you are staying with Sprint/Nextel or even if you are moving to another carrier, I would look at one of the Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphones, i.e. the PPC-6700. You can still get email, keep your calendar and contact info, surf the web and have an adequate phone, and you should be able to find a data plan that is cheaper and easier to use then the BB. The Treo is OK, but I have not had good luck with the ones I had (Cingular versions).

I'm biased towards the 7520 but if you've already tried the 7100 series and don't like the Smart type keyboard and you want the qwerty style then your decision is made. I'm sure Nextel (Telus in Canada) will have an 8700 probably near the end of the year or next.
