Talking Blackberry Message Delivery Confirmation Lives!

Please Login to Remove!

Requires Version 4.0 just put <confirm> in the subject of the message and you will get a delivery confirmation. Be sure to include the brackets just like I have shown.

Enjoy!

Another good one: <$confirm, removeondelivery> at the beginning of the subject line.

This will not only give you a confirm, but it will remove the email from the user's Outlook inbox once the message is delivered to the HandHeld. It will, however, still show up on the user's BB.

is there anyway to pre-build the subject line with this instead of adding it for every email you send out?

Wirelessly posted (Blackberry 7280: BlackBerry7280/4.0.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)

May I please ask, this only works from bb to bb, correct?? I tried it about 2months ago when I had read it in a magazine, and it didn't work when sending to a PC. Thank you.

I think it only works BB to BB. I made a shortcut using Autotext in Options. Mailcon becomes <confirm>
So now, in the subject area of the email, I type mailcon and it automatically becomes <confirm>

We actually didnt try sending it from BB to BB but will give that a try.

It worked for us from an Lotus notes and outlook client to another e-mail client which then of course forwards it to thier blackberry and returns a confirmation.

This also works from Outlook to a BB user. I just tested it from my Outlook to a test BB that I have and received the confirmation.

Nice!

yup... the autotext is a good idea

i just realised, when you send the email... the <confirm> becomes part of the subject line and the final reader can see it in there subject line.. thats not really a good idea...hmmm
