Default emails including attachments sent multiple times

Please Login to Remove!

Hi there,

We are using BES 10.1.2.6 with Z10's (OS:10.2.0.1803/Software: 10.2.0.429) and MS-Exchange 2007. Mails with attachments are sometimes sent multiple times with somewhat truncated attachments. It seems as if the blackberry tries to relay the mail until the attachment is being sent entirely. For what it is worth we dont experience this with any other mail-client. Does anyone have a solution for this issue?

Kind regards,

John

I'm not sure, but you might find more help in the BES admin forum.

Found the following in the mdat logs around the time (milliseconds) an email with truncated attachment was sent:

<2014-02-19 14:28:22.476 MEZ>:[1106551]:<MDS-CS_GS-BLACKBERRY_MDS-CS_1>:<DEBUG>:<LAYER = IPPP, EVENT = CreatedSendingQueue, DEVICEPIN = xxxxxxx, CONNECTIONID = 412904863, PERIMETERID = 1;EB73CF56-1EBD-41FB-A4D3-9B655AE9F2F9>
<2014-02-19 14:28:22.476 MEZ>:[1106552]:<MDS-CS_GS-BLACKBERRY_MDS-CS_1>:<DEBUG>:<LAYER = IPPP, EVENT = Sending, TAG = 218070797, DEVICEPIN = 2b86033d@[B@7eff7ebd, VERSION = 16, CONNECTIONID = 412904863, SEQUENCE = 3, TYPE = ERROR, SIZE = 62, ERRORCODE = 127, ERRORMSG = [An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host], PERIMETERID = 1;EB73CF56-1EBD-41FB-A4D3-9B655AE9F2F9>

corresponding disp log:

<#03>[30222] (02/19 14:28:22.477):{0xEC8} {Slastname firstname} MTH: contentType=IPPP, sizeOTA=141, sizeOTW=73, TransactionId=218070797, Tag=2129641, device=2b86033d;EB73CF56-1EBD-41FB-A4D3-9B655AE9F2F9
<#03>[30313] (02/19 14:28:22.477):{0xEC8} {lastname firstname} Sending external data to device, contentType=IPPP, routing=srpid_of_bbserver, device=2b86033d;EB73CF56-1EBD-41FB-A4D3-9B655AE9F2F9, size=218, cmd=0x3, TransactionId=218070797, Tag=2129641, Submit=0

The attachment is 1003 KB and only 105 KB of the attachment were received/sent.
On the exchange server the option ignore client certificate is set. Not sure if I read the logs correctly though and am not sure if that is related to the issue at hand. Let me see where I get from here. If anyone has any relevant ideas and cares to share I'd be happy to hear about it.
