On the 7730 model of the BB there is a setting where you can hide the icons.
does anyone know how to do this and how to get the icons back?

On the home page, ALT + trackwheel will bring up the menu. To hide the current Icon, select Hide Application. To show the hidden ones again, select Show All, the hidden Icons will have a red X through them, at least that's what the 7290 and 8700 have.
