Hello new member here, apologies if this is in the wrong section.
I wonder if anyone can help me with a blackberry desktop software problem.
Recently my blackberry q5 decided to stop connecting to my PC.
I tried a few things and the online advice was to try uninstalling the software and to try reinstalling it again.
I did this however I am now getting an error message and the PC won't download the software at all.
I do everything correctly as instructed on the screen it downloads up to 100% and then gives me an error message of "sorry blackberry software exe could not be downloaded.
I've tried 3 times, rebooted ,PC , nothing works.
If anyone can help I'd be most grateful.
try looking at your anti virus or firewall settings.
What is the OS on your computer, windows 10 etc or apple IOS
Version of virus protection etc.
All will help with the issue.
Normally LINK will simply download and install. If this just happened after an OS update then I would suspect that. If your using Microsoft then you can expect many problems with the mess they call windows 10.

I have had the same issue. My PC was hacked by virus. Then I installed Anti Virus to remove them. And now it's working fine like before.
Agreed, windows 7 should be ok unless the PC has a virus or some other mal-ware blocking it's use.
My suggestion is to download the free version of malware bytes and CCleaner. I use both and it keeps junk off the PC.
If this CC Cleaner works it's really good news for me. I will try for it. lol
I run CCleaner and Malware Bytes after every use before shutdown. with the junk on many many sites and on emails sent it's best to protect yourself.
Both are free.
Keep in mind it may be another issue but try this and let us know.
