Default Replying with BB without original message??

Please Login to Remove!

When I reply to a message from my BB, the original message is always included. It does not even allow you to edit the originals if you want to exclude a certain part. The end result is the email gets larger and larger when 2 people keeps a thread going on with BBs alone.

Is this 'function'/'non-function' by design or is it a flaw/missing function? If it is by design, what's the philosophy behind it when you can do this in regular Outlook?

when you are in reply mode, if you click the wheel, you get a menu.

Select delete orginal text and the orginal text will be gone.

Did I mis-read your post?

Once you hit reply, there is a "delete original text" message which removes all the original message. If you want to keep part of it, you can copy/delete original text/paste.

Don't you hate when people do this? I get so much mail per day that I need the previous treads to remind me what we're talking about. Every now and then I notice someone will send me just a response. Those are the last messages I'll answer if I ever get to them...

When you reply to an email you are NOT sending any of the original text. The previous message is reattached to your reply at the BIS or BES. This saves you the bandwidth. Example you get a long 4 or 45 paragraph email that you can answer with 2 or 3 words. Your data useage reflects only your reply and not the previous text.

Try that on other devices

Lol. It seems that I started needing reading glasses about the same time I started using a bb. Hate it.

Now-a-days, we have so many exec's in the company using BB's that I'm having to start printing most messages to read them. It also makes me only respond from my BB when I have to cuz I hate doing that to anybody. One of my coworkers noticed this and brought me in a pair of payless 3X's. I'm only 43 but I have to admit they do help...

You can un-check the feature in BIS options.
