Question Reset / internal cleaning time?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I am a new BB user - I just got the device after my colleague from work passed it to me when leaving.

I have a problem - this guy set up a password preventing me to get anywhere, especially the menu. As my IT department advised, I typed wrong passwords 10 times and BB warned me that it was going to clean everything in its memory. That was what I needed

Unfortunately when I accepted this message the BB stopped responding from now on - I mean till now it has been almost 2 hours... The only thing I see is hourglass...

Shall I wait longer? What can I do?

Thanks in advance!!!

You need to reload the OS on the BlackBerry now. When it says it is going to delete everything, it deletes everything! See the thread on How to Upgrade the OS for instruction on what to do now.

Thanks for the answer. Of course you're right - after some time my BB showed famous error 507 and everything was clear
I'm going to upload the OS today and enjoy the device!
